Editorial policy & corrections
Plain Economy is an educational project. Its purpose is to explain economic measures with clear language and reproducible examples.
Sources and examples
- Use primary sources such as statistical agencies, central banks and international institutions for definitions and official data.
- Label hypothetical examples clearly and show the calculation.
- When using observed data, identify the country, series, period, unit and source.
- Explain important limitations and distinguish facts from interpretation.
AI-assisted drafting
AI tools assist with research organization and drafting. That assistance does not establish accuracy or professional expertise. Drafts must be checked against their sources and calculations before publication; the site owner remains responsible for approval.
Corrections and updates
If a substantive error is found, the article should be corrected and the change explained. Publication and review dates should reflect work actually completed. We do not claim review by an economist unless a real reviewer has performed it.
Educational scope
The material explains economic concepts. It does not provide individualized investment, lending, tax or legal recommendations.
